Coalition fails to deliver

Pilbara News - - Opinion - Tracey Heimberger, Dampier

The new Karratha Health Campus was promised by the Liberal/ National coalition in the 2010-11 election commitments.

It was supposed to be completed by the 2014-15 financial year.

The health campus was a major commitment. It is now 2017 and the health campus looks nowhere near complete. When will it be completed?

Royal Perth Hospital was also promised improvement plans. Those plans and commitments were withdrawn and the plans were changed, due to blowout in costs associated with other projects.

Perth Children’s Hospital was delayed as well. The project time lines and the budget were blown out and well over the original commitment. There were also issues with the unsafe supply of asbestos and lead contamination.

What a joke. We need a political party who is going to honour commitments they make.

The management of these important health projects demonstrates that the Liberal Party clearly are not competent and do not have any idea what they are doing; especially with an area as important as health.
