Pedal power to beat blues
A Perth schoolboy will set off on a pedal-powered adventure from the mansions of Mosman Bay to the mantas of Coral Bay to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues.
Year 11 student Nicolas Charnley will take on the 1125km ride from April 8 and is aiming to ride about 100km a day.
Nicolas said he was inspired to take up the challenge after a school visit by mental health charity beyondblue.
He will be giving up his April school holidays to undertake the ride, camping on the roadside while his father shadows him in a support vehicle.
Nicolas said he was seeking support to help raise funds and awareness for beyondblue.
Progress will be tracked on the Baytobayride Facebook page.
