CoderDojo think tank
Karratha Public Library is holding a CoderDojo Community Think Tank and information session on Thursday, February 23 focused on building the CoderDojo network in the City of Karratha.
CoderDojo is taking the country by storm, encouraging young people to learn to code in fun and interactive ways.
From robotics to app creation, programming and building websites, there are many opportunities out there for coding and coders.
To get a CoderDojo happening in the City of Karratha, “Mentors, Champions and Ninjas” are needed — so if you’re a young person looking to learn to code or a parent or community member looking to lend a hand and teach, come along and share your ideas.
From 5-6pm, the discussion will focus on CoderDojo itself, what it is and how it works, then from 6-7pm, you will work on ways to build the Pilbara Network. Registrations are required. For more information and to sign up, contact the library on 9186 8660.
