Spir­its soar on Ea­gles night

The West Coast Ea­gles hosted a sportsper­sons’ night last Thurs­day at the Kar­ratha Leisure­plex as part of their Com­mu­nity Camp pro­gram.

Sev­eral play­ers in­clud­ing Adam Sel­wood and Mark Ni­coski and WCE schools and com­mu­nity pro­gram co-or­di­na­tor Kim Han­nah took part in a panel dis­cus­sion with new Dampier Sharks coach and for­mer Bris­bane Lions player Beau McDon­ald.

The men dis­cussed all things footy, in­clud­ing the up­com­ing sea­son and who they bar­racked for grow­ing up, and an­swered ques­tions from the crowd.

There was also a si­lent auc­tion, in which at­ten­dees had the chance to pick up West Coast mem­o­ra­bilia.

All funds raised dur­ing the night went to the ju­nior and se­nior Pil­bara foot­ball leagues.

Lo­cals joined sev­eral West Coast Ea­gles play­ers for the sports per­sons night fundraiser.
