Diane Bartlett shot this iron ore train rolling to­wards port and sub­mit­ted it with no edit­ing. Ms Bartlett said af­ter two years she had found the per­fect place to get shots of the trains. “The thing that sur­prises me and I don't un­der­stand is that when they are com­ing to­wards you you hear them and feel the rum­ble un­der your feet, but the minute they have passed you the sound goes, the rum­ble goes there's not even a muf­fled sound in the dis­tance,” she said. “Straight away ev­ery­thing is gone, you just get the sound of the breeze in your ears and then that Pil­bara si­lence. Ms Bartlett said she would love the op­por­tu­nity to go for a ride in one of the trains be­fore leav­ing the Pil­bara.
