Lost sheepdog safe after days in rugged conditions

Pilbara News - - Opinion - John Jones, Karratha

Can I bring to your attention the story about my daughter’s young sheltie who, in 2014, was accidentally let out of her yard in Karratha by some contractors?

She, Candy, chose to wander Karratha for four days and nights meeting and greeting people, crossing busy highways, survived the heat, the wildlife and the traffic.

Fortunately. with the help of the

Pilbara News, posters and social media, Candy was found several kilometres from home.

This was a most stressful time for my daughter Stacey and her husband but it certainly was the alk of Karratha.

It must be something in the Pilbara that attracts these beautiful creatures to venture and survive.
