People had a lot to say about the shock result in the Pilbara seat, with Brendon Grylls losing to Labor candidate Kevin Michel.
He has done more for regional WA than anyone! Next time you need to use a hospital, PATS service, a mobile phone on the highway, RFDS, a community swimming pool, a pensioner fuel card, aged care in the country, child care, a recreational facility — you can thank Brendon Grylls. Good on him for delivering on everything he promised, leaving a safe seat to lead a plan that would solve WA’s Budget. Instead, wait for all the cuts to public services from Labor and I look forward to Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton not off-shoring and not automating any more jobs to keep the employment they promised. Doriana Mangili So Kevin Michel doesn’t know anything about Balla Balla or the status of any other large resources and infrastructure projects? This is not going to end well. Nathan Hanrahan So when in a year or so and even more mining jobs are cut, no new jobs are created (so that the mining giants can make their shareholders even more money), and no money is being put back into infrastructure in the Pilbara, will people still be saying “yay” and “good riddance”?
