Utility work powers ahead
Work to underground power in Onslow has begun in the residential areas of Second, Third, Cameron and McGrath avenues.
The Pilbara Underground Power Project is also proceeding in the light industrial area including drilling in conduits, excavating trenches and installing cables and street lights.
Horizon Power Pilbara network manager James Carney said the utility and project contractor Logsys were working to ensure minimal disruption to the community.
Once civil works have been completed in the LIA, crews will progress works in the residential area.
Residents will be notified at least two to three weeks in advance of any planned works.
Power poles will be no more when the PUPP network is completed.
