In his first visit to the Pil­bara, Abo­rig­i­nal Af­fairs Min­is­ter Ben Wy­att heard the strug­gles of Abo­rig­i­nal or­gan­i­sa­tions through­out the re­gion last z week.

As the first min­is­ter for Abo­rig­i­nal Af­fairs to at­tend a meet­ing with Pil­bara Abo­rig­i­nal Cor­po­ra­tions And En­ter­prises in more than five years, PACE mem­bers and com­mu­nity mem­bers took the op­por­tu­nity to en­gage with the new min­is­ter and voice their con­cerns.

In his bid to change the way the Depart­ment of Abo­rig­i­nal Af­fairs, Mr Wy­att left the Pil­bara com­mu­ni­ties with the chal­lenge and said he hoped to be back to the Pil­bara again soon.
