Youngster to fly flag for Pilbara
A small but speedy Karratha motocross rider is gearing up to make his debut representing the Pilbara at a State level.
Starting from this weekend, 10-year-old Kai Pratt will be competing in the WA Motocross Junior State Series, a Statewide competition that will see him travel to tracks all over WA including Kalgoorlie, Bunbury and Collie and riding against some of the best young motocross riders in the State.
Kai is set to race on a 65cc dirt bike and will be the youngest competitor taking part in his 10-12 year-old age group.
The motocross junior will also have to balance his State Series effort with riding in the North West Motorcycle Association’s regional race series, which began in Newman at the weekend.
Kai’s mother Kate Pratt thanked the many local organisations that had supported her son’s competitive efforts. To follow Kai’s progress, like the Facebook page Kai Pratt — Athlete.
