Chevron continues support
The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project and Onslow Chamber of Commerce and Industry have renewed a partnership that will see the oil and gas giant provide funds to support Onslow’s business community for the fourth year in a row.
The funding enables OCCI to employ a chief executive, keep its office open and start development of a business support program. OCCI president Geoff Herbert said it was grateful to have Chevron’s support.
“As one of our community’s largest businesses we look forward to continuing to grow our relationship,” he said. Chevron Australia community engagement supervisor Erin Glancy said the OCCI played a vital role in the community.
“Since the start of Wheatstone Project construction in late 2011, we have spent more than $455 million with local Onslow businesses and organisations for site construction contracts and town-based services such as transport, catering, venue hire and general supplies,” she said.
