Strict bail conditions
One of three men accused of slashing a man’s throat with a machete in a violent Peg’s Creek home invasion in March has been granted bail subject to protective conditions.
Nathan Anthony Oakley, 28, of Wickham, appeared in Karratha Magistrate’s Court via video link last Thursday on charges of grievous bodily harm, aggravated home burglary and criminal damage stemming from the alleged attack.
Mr Oakley’s defence lawyer John Hawkins applied for bail for his client on the grounds he had a very limited record and would be claiming he played a minor part in the alleged incident.
He is next due to appear in the Karratha Magistrate’s Court on June 13.
