Scholarships for mining students
University students are being invited to apply for $80,000 worth of scholarships thanks to the WA Mining Club.
The club is handing out seven scholarships at $10,000 each to WA university students studying a degree that will lead to working in the mining industry.
An additional $10,000 is also being offered for indigenous students at high school, TAFE and apprentices looking to start a career in the mining industry.
On top of the scholarship money, successful applicants will also get free attendance to WA Mining Club lunches in Perth and get to participate in a mentoring scheme offered by industry co-sponsors.
The mining club is a networking club with more than 500 members consisting of members from WA’s mining community.
Applications can be found at wamining club.asn.au/giving-back/scholarships/ and close June 30.
