Man and teenagers charged after service station robbery
Three people have been charged over a service station armed robbery in Gap Ridge in the early hours of last Wednesday.
Police allege one man and two teenage boys — one armed with a meat cleaver and one with a tyre lever — entered the service station disguised with hoodies about 12.30am.
They allegedly demanded money and cigarettes from a store attendant, and took them before leaving the store. Police also believe the same three people were involved in a burglary and robbery late last Monday in which cash was stolen from a Baynton cafe.
Detectives have charged a 24-yearold man, a 14-year-old boy and a 13year-old boy, all from Baynton, with aggravated armed robbery and aggravated armed burglary over the incidents.
All three were due to appear in Karratha Magistrate’s Court last Thursday.
