Sharp-dressed kids track­side on Fam­ily Day

Kids are set to steal the spot­light from the adults and dress in their finest racewear this Fam­ily Day for Nor West Jockey Club’s first of­fi­cial Kids’ Fash­ions on the Field.

Kar­ratha Signs Fam­ily Day is on this Satur­day at the Nor-West Jockey Club and and en­try is free for un­der-18s. The team from Coll Change Bou­tique will be judg­ing the con­test and scout­ing the field look­ing for the sharpest-dressed young­sters to get up on-stage.

Nor-West Jockey Club pro­mo­tions co-or­di­na­tor Tara Sta­ley said the con­test aimed to en­gage with the chil­dren this Fam­ily Day.

All con­tes­tants will get an ice-cream voucher for Sam­son Soft Serve and five fi­nal­ists from the boys’ and girls’ divi­sions will re­ceive prizes from par­tic­i­pat­ing busi­nesses.

Fash­ions on the Field is just one of many ac­tiv­i­ties to keep the chil­dren en­ter­tained on Fam­ily Day.

There will also be free show­bags with a drink and lol­lies, a jump­ing cas­tle and face paint­ing as well as a per­for­mance by Dance FX and $5 pony rides.

Gates open at 11am and en­try is $10 for peo­ple over 18.

The adults will get their chance to frock and suit up for Fash­ions on the Field on Satur­day, July 15, for Ladies’ Day and Satur­day, July, 29, at the Roe­bourne Cup Day. The Nor-West Jockey Club is cel­e­brat­ing its 150th an­niver­sary this year.
