Assault charges laid after bones broken
West Pilbara and Geraldton detectives have charged a man with grievous bodily harm over an assault in Karratha which left a man with serious facial injuries.
Police allege he assaulted a 23year-old Dampier man in the Karratha CBD at 1.40am on February 12.
The man suffered a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose and hand.
Last Thursday detectives arrested a 22-year-old man from Wandina, an outer suburb of Geraldton, and charged him with grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on September 28.
The arrest comes after a Pilbara District Police request for public assistance with the investigation in March.
