More charges for child sex accused
Detectives have laid additional charges against a Perth man accused of sexually abusing a young girl in Tom Price more than 30 years ago.
Eric Vincent Millard, 73, was arrested by Midland detectives in September after an investigation into historic child abuse allegations.
Two months later, he pleaded not guilty in court to assaulting a young girl 24 times between 1979 and 1986.
The child was three years old at the time of the first alleged offence.
However, an additional seven charges of indecent dealing were laid against Mr Millard earlier this year.
The Forrestfield resident pleaded not guilty to the additional charges in Perth Magistrate’s Court on June 23.
It is alleged Mr Millard abused a different girl, a blood relative of the first child, seven times during the 1990s and 2000s. The girl was aged younger than 13 during six of the alleged incidents and between 13 and 16 during one.
His case was adjourned until September 15 and his bail extended at the request of his lawyer.
