Woman in park rescue
A woman was rescued from a gorge at Karijini National Park after she lost her footing and fell into a shallow pool of water, hitting her head on a rock.
The woman, aged in her 60s, was lifted on a stretcher from the pool in Hancock Gorge on Saturday afternoon and taken to Tom Price Hospital.
Police say the woman had stepped down into a pool of shallow water and lost her footing, causing her to stumble forward and bump her head on a rock.
She suffered minor concussion and grazing and was released from hospital on Monday.
Tom Price and Newman SES, Tom Price SES cadets, St John Ambulance officers and Parks and Wildlife rangers attended the scene.
