Council candidate

Pilbara News - - Local Government Elections -

Occupation: Customer service officer Local government experience: Nil How long have you lived in Exmouth? 22 years Why did you decide to run for councillor? I’m standing as a representative of our community because I feel I can convey their views to council forums. What have you been involved in locally within Exmouth? I have built and operated a marine eco-tourism and an accommodation business. I then promoted tourism for the region and now work as a government service officer. I’ve also served on the chamber of commerce, visitor centre and whale shark committees. What do you think the biggest issue facing Exmouth today is? The issue will be how our Shire supports commercial developments that could provide our community with additional income streams and better job security without compromising the special values of our natural environment. There will be a fine balancing act between development and conservation. It has been done before.
