Pilbara News - - Local Government Elections -

Occupation: Manager of Ningaloo Lodge Local government experience: None, however I have extensive experience on boards and committees in executive roles past and present. How long have you lived in Exmouth? 20 years Why did you decide to run for councillor? To ensure the viability of the $32 million Ningaloo Centre while maintaining a safe environment to raise families and create employment opportunities. What have you been involved in locally within Exmouth? I volunteer on many community committees assisting business and supporting tourism operators, and am currently Australia’s Coral Coast deputy chairwoman responsible for marketing Exmouth/Ningaloo to domestic and international travellers. What do you think the biggest issue facing Exmouth today is? The biggest issue for any tourism town is creating access whether it be by road, plane or ship. I have an extensive working relationship with Qantas and air access is an opportunity to grow the tourism market and attract budget airlines such as Jetstar, increasing employment opportunities for residents.
