Council candidate

Pilbara News - - Local Government Elections -

Occupation: Retailer, managing director of Exmouth BETTA Home Living. Local government experience: No previous attempts at running for council.

How long have you lived in Exmouth? All my life, 40 years.

Why did you decide to run for councillor? A great opportunity to be part of a complete new council dedicated to representing our wonderful community. What have you been involved in locally within Exmouth? During my life I have been involved in many local events, clubs and organisations. I like to give back to our small community through sponsorship activities, events and tournaments that Exmouth hosts. What do you think the biggest issue facing Exmouth today is? I personally believe the most important role of a new council is to rebuild the trust and respect of our community. It’s an exciting time for Exmouth and, while being mindful of our past, we need to embrace the future — thinking positive, acting positive, being positive so we can move forward together.
