Snakes out with warm weather

With the ar­rival of the warm weather, out­door ad­ven­tur­ers are be­ing warned to be vig­i­lant over deadly snake bites.

St John Am­bu­lance has warned of the in­crease in risk as snakes ven­ture out of hi­ber­na­tion.

The warn­ing comes as two peo­ple in the past month were bit­ten by snakes in WA. Symp­toms of a snake bite can in­clude headache, im­paired vi­sion, nau­sea and drowsi­ness.
