WA students do well
WA students have made significant improvements in this year’s Naplan results.
The preliminary data shows that since the testing started in 2008, WA students have improved in 14 out of 20 areas, which is the most improvement of all states in the country.
Students have improved in Year 3 reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation and literacy, while Year 5 students have shown improvement in reading, spelling and numeracy.
Year 7 students have made ground in spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy and Year 9 students have improved in reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy.
