DON’T MESS WITH EVIDENCE

Pinjarra Murray Times - - STREET WATCH -

YOU can help police tackle car break-ins by preserving any evidence, blood or tools for forensic examination. If there’s blood on your car’s smashed window or a screwdriver nearby, we will call forensic officers to assess your vehicle in some cases. The same goes for homes which have been broken in to. Don’t touch anything or get repairs done. We’ll inspect the house and the damage for forensic evidence. If you have CCTV, download it and bring it to the station. You can also ask your neighbours to see if their cameras have any footage of the crime. This can be very valuable for investigators. - Senior Sergeant Julie Foley
