Three ar­rested over rob­bery

THREE men have been ar­rested fol­low­ing an armed rob­bery at a petrol sta­tion in Barragup on Sun­day af­ter­noon.

At 4pm, a sil­ver Dae­woo with stolen num­ber­plates was driven to the petrol sta­tion on Pin­jarra Road.

While one man re­fu­elled the car, an­other en­tered the ser­vice sta­tion with his face cov­ered and threat­ened the cashier with a sy­ringe, be­fore leav­ing with cash.

About 45 min­utes later, po­lice found the car crashed into a tree at the in­ter­sec­tion of Old Pin­jarra Road and Ter­anca Road in, Green­fields and ar­rested three men at the scene.

A 49-year-old Man­durah man was charged with armed rob­bery, three counts of steal­ing, reck­less driv­ing, pos­ses­sion of cannabis, two counts of driv­ing without a li­cence and us­ing a num­ber­plate that was not his.

A 25-year-old Coodanup man has been sum­monsed for driv­ing without a li­cence and a 30-year-old Fal­con man has been sum­monsed for pos­sess­ing a pro­hib­ited weapon.

They will ap­pear in court at a later date.
