CASTING DOUBT

Pinjarra Murray Times - - OPINION -

JUST what improvement, if any, eventuated from the expensive council election snail mail ballot when only the same low percentage of residents actually bother to vote?

Must we endure those posters hanged up on every street corner down the highway?

Actually I voted for the Mayor and Dave Schumacher a week before all the signs were erected outside Farmer Jack’s.

Hopefully some of that creative transparency at the City of Mandurah will be replaced with accountable common sense.

Actually, I’m wondering how many trees in Burma were cut down for the electoral office to print so many confusing envelopes on pretend recycled paper.

I remember voting in the Gosnells election where the results were published in the newspaper on Monday morning, pronto. DAVID COOMBS, Halls Head
