Crash driver charged

MA­JOR Crash of­fi­cers have charged a 19-year-old Bar­ragup man after an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a fa­tal crash in Se­cret Har­bour last month.

The crash oc­curred at 6.30pm on Se­cret Har­bour Boule­vard on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 6.

Po­lice al­lege a sil­ver Toy­ota Supra sedan was trav­el­ling east along Se­cret Har­bour Boule­vard when it crashed into a tree.

Cal­lum Mum­mery (16), who was trav­el­ling in the back, and 17-year-old Ma­son Hooton, trav­el­ling in the front, both died from the in­juries they re­ceived. A 16year-old boy who was trav­el­ling in the back of the car re­ceived se­ri­ous in­juries.

The 19-year-old man has been charged with two counts of dan­ger­ous driv­ing oc­ca­sion­ing death and one of dan­ger­ous driv­ing oc­ca­sion­ing griev­ous bod­ily harm.

He will ap­pear in Mandurah Mag­is­trates Court on Novem­ber 28.
