Funding program open

Pinjarra Murray Times - - OPINION -

ALCOA’s Pinjarra alumina refinery is calling for funding applications for the next round of its Community Partnership program.

Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations for projects and events in the Shire of Murray and City of Mandurah. Refinery manager Julio Costa said investing in the community was a priority.

“Each year we sponsor a wide range of community partnerships across Murray and Mandurah, funding local events and projects run by notfor-profit organisations,” he said.

“Over the past two years Pinjarra refinery has invested more than $850,000 into the community through its partnership program.”

Mr Costa said applications were strongly encouraged from local not-for-profit organisations that promoted environmental sustainability, community health and safety, tomorrow’s workforce and leaders and community capacity and resilience.

Applications close on Friday, November 24.

For an application form, call Stephanie Gardner on 9531 6240 or email PINCommunityRelations@alcoa.com.au.
