PINJARRA is set to rock on the June long weekend.

Not only is the Lighter Pinjarra Festival on for WA Day celebrations, the St Joseph’s School Fair, Pinjarra RSL open day, the Alcoa and Pinjarra Rotary art exhibition and the Livelihood Handcraft Exhibition are also being held.

Shire President David Bolt said the live music, market stalls, children’s activities, displays, demos, workshops and amusements would captivate every member of the family.

On the Lotterywest main stage on the Saturday, musical duo Two Tone Music will entertain, along with one of the latest additions to the region’s music scene, the Circus Band.

On the Sunday, six-piece brass band Junkadelic will have the crowd grooving to the blend of rhythms inspired by New Orleans street music and will provide free percussion and dance workshops.

Hype will conclude Sunday’s main stage entertainment. For the kids, there’s the high-energy Eco Faeries show, and favourites the petting zoo and camel, pony and train rides.
