Seniors stronghold

Pinjarra Murray Times - - NEWS -

MANDURAH has one of the highest proportions of people 65 and over in WA (22.7 per cent), compared with 14 per cent for WA.

It is surpassed by only a few councils with much smaller populations, such as Denmark (25 per cent), Gingin (23.2 per cent) and Dandaragan (23.1 per cent).

There are many opportunities for seniors to get involved in the community, such as through Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre. The centre has about 2000 members and had 95,000 visits last year.

This month, activities, services, groups and clubs offered to members are available for everyone to try.

The full timetable of activities and programs is available at https://mandurah.wa. gov.au/whats-on/calendar/ seniors/seniors-centre-openweek.
