Girls dis­cuss jobs at Al­coa

SPEED dat­ing of a dif­fer­ent kind was on the agenda for Pin­jarra Se­nior High School girls as they dis­cussed their in­ter­ests and am­bi­tions with Al­coa men­tors for a speed ca­reer­ing event to high­light the di­verse jobs on of­fer for women at Al­coa.

More than 40 stu­dents par­tic­i­pated in the ca­reer event hosted by Pin­jarra Se­nior High School as part of Al­coa’s 2018 Pin­jarra Prospect Pro­gram – an in­ter­ac­tive stu­dent men­tor­ing pro­gram for girls in Years 1011.

Stu­dents were in­spired with dif­fer­ent ca­reer ideas, built net­works with Al­coa em­ploy­ees from var­i­ous job roles at the Pin­jarra Alu­mina Re­fin­ery and heard ca­reer sto­ries from the Al­coa rep­re­sen­ta­tives who pro­vided in­sights into their pro­fes­sions.

More than 40 stu­dents took part in the ca­reer event at Pin­jarra Se­nior High School.
