Make it a day out
THIS WA Day, The Makers will once again host a free WA Day Festival, representing the best of WA culture. The eastern foreshore will be at the centre of the action on Monday, June 4, with a variety of entertainment including some of Mandurah’s finest young musicians. The festival will run from 2-7pm, bursting at the seams with free activities for the whole family, including interactive workshops, Japanese taiko drumming performances, Chinese lion dance, an Indigenous corroboree and more. Visitors can browse the suitcase markets and Tiny Shop of Wheels offering a choice of handmade goods. A range of gourmet food trucks will dish up food from all over the world and there will be an interactive wildlife experience, along with salsa and Bollywood dancing demonstrations.
