Bird in the hand
MANDURAH artist Tahnee Kelland has been transforming the region with her larger-than-life murals.
Her latest achievement is a kookaburra that graces a wall at Pinjarra Bakery.
Ms Kelland said the bakery wanted a bit more colour in their building and the eyecatching kookaburra picked out the colours of the building and matched the bakery’s true-blue Aussie brand.
It took Kelland five days to complete.
The former Mandurah Catholic College student and full-time artist specialises in murals.
Ms Kelland was responsible for the flowery swing mural in Mandurah’s Tuckey Lane.
She has also painted several murals in Perth, including Hay Street, and has just returned from the Rediscover Armadale art festival project.
Ms Kelland’s next mission is a mural on the IGA building at Seascapes.
