Thun­der gath­ers for sick chil­dren

ABOUT 260 women at­tended Peel Thun­der Ladies Day at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Satur­day.

The event fea­tured auc­tions and guest speaker Matthew Cor­reia, from Ron­ald McDon­ald House.

Mr Cor­reia spoke about the work Ron­ald McDon­ald House does for fam­i­lies of sick chil­dren.

Peel Thun­der Football Club Ladies Com­mit­tee chair­woman Corinn Ditch­burn said money raised from the event would pro­vide a fam­ily with a sick child ac­com­mo­da­tion for 30 nights.

The event was sup­ported by McDon­ald’s in Lake­lands and Green­fields.

Many lo­cal busi­nesses also do­nated prizes for the raf­fle.
