MP does his bit after bag ban

Pinjarra Murray Times - - NEWS -

WITH the ban on single-use plastic bags coming into effect last Sunday and the bags already banned at Woolworths, Dawesville MLA Zak Kirkup has been handing out free reusable bags at local shopping centres.

“We have teams of volunteers out and about making sure people know about the ban but also giving them reusable bags. I love Mandurah and we thought there was nothing more iconic than a crab to put on the bag, which is how we’ve ended up with this design that has been incredibly popular,” he said.

“For anyone who does not get the chance to grab one from our volunteers over coming days, contact me online or drop into the office on Old Coast Road, Falcon.”
