TRANS­FORM the dark­ness into a sea of glow­ing lanterns at Ad­ven­turescape in South Yun­derup on Fri­day and help beat blood can­cer.

The Leukaemia Foun­da­tion’s 11th an­nual Light the Night will help raise vi­tal funds for blood can­cer re­search.

The lanterns are coloured white for sur­vivors, blue for sup­port­ers and gold if walk­ing in the me­mory of a loved one.

Food will be avail­able at the event.

Ev­ery day, an­other 35 Aus­tralians are di­ag­nosed with blood can­cer – equiv­a­lent to one ev­ery 41 min­utes. Blood can­cer claims more lives than breast can­cer and me­lanoma and 60,000 peo­ple across Aus­tralia are liv­ing with blood can­cer.
