GAME OF THE MONTH

Laser League

BEST POST-APOCALYPSE

Mad Max

Well look at us, we’re 150. To mark the occasion we decided to get personal with our celebration of PlayStation’s greatest games, and asked some key devs, including God Of War’s Cory Barlog, to tell us which game made the biggest impact on them (p66). There are some interesting choices.

We get more retrospectives from some old Sony devs, who reveal what it was like creating games for PS1 (p60). They also share their personal insights into the launches of PS3 and PS4.

Looking to the future, however, we have some great exclusives. We chat to id Software’s Tim Willits about Rage 2 (p50), go hands-on with Call Of Duty: Black Ops IIII (p32), and play in Days Gone’s open world (p44). All of this and we delve into how Red Dead Redemption II will play (p6), and rate Detroit: Become Human (p82).

Whether you’re looking back or looking forwards, PlayStation is never dull.

“GOD OF WAR’S CORY BARLOG TELLS US WHICH GAME MADE THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON HIM.”
