No Taki backs
Ninja master Taki returns to the Soulcalibur fold
NOT ONLY IS SHE A FEARSOME FIGHTER, SHE’S A BRILLIANT BLACKSMITH TOO.
This mainstay Soulcalibur fighter has stepped out of the shadows and been revealed as part of the continuously growing Soulcalibur VI roster. Though, given her secretive ninja skills, perhaps she’s been hiding the whole time? Two weapons are better than one, with Taki wielding her trademark classic Rekki-Maru and Mekki-Maru dual swords for this latest bout.
Fu-Ma’s Shadow might be a ninja master, but she’s definitely not afraid to reveal herself for a good old fashioned ass-kicking. She’s a brilliant blacksmith too, having crafted both of her own swords, which is some feat. We have trouble just making breakfast in the office without burning the toast – and the age-old conflict as to whether we should have jam on toast with or without butter is sure to spark many a Soulcalibur throwdown. Taki? She’s a buttery beast for sure.
Taki joins an ever-swelling cast of returning fan favourites, including the recently announced Siegfried. Newcomers have also been joining the ranks, such as Geralt from The Witcher series, the latest in the long line of cameo appearances you often see in Soulcalibur games. Previous guest characters have included Darth Vader in Soulcalibur IV, Ezio Auditore in Soulcalibur V, and even Kratos in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. A lot of Soulcalibur games have more than one guest character, so there’s a still a chance there will be more surprises to come, though it’s always great to see the best of the rest, like Taki, returning too.
