ALAN Harper hit some form early last week, tak­ing out the men’s Tues­day Stable­ford com­pe­ti­tion with 41 points ahead of Ian Prewett on 40 points. Art Howard was third with 40 points also. Ron Men­dez won Wed­nes­day’s nine hole Sporters’ com­pe­ti­tion af­ter a count back for 21 points to Adam Fer­gu­son. Greg Walker was third with 20 and Barry Costain col­lected near­est the pin on 13. Prac­tice paid off for Leon­nie Phillips, who was in hot form on Thurs­day tak­ing the ladies Stable­ford com­pe­ti­tion with 45 points. Kate Brims was in sec­ond place with 39 points and Julie Hooker third with 37. Near­est the pins were Ellen Clark on 6, Gayle Healey on 13 and Lucy Giles on 8 and 10. Dan Hober col­lected the cash on Fri­day win­ning the Rum Run with 21 points. Les Minotti proved him­self again this week, tak­ing out the men’s di­vi­sion one on Satur­day with 40 points. Steven Gray was a close sec­ond with 39 points. In di­vi­sion two Tano Caltabi­ano hit form scor­ing 43 points to win by a shot to Adam Fre­gu­son on 42 points. Art Howard won near­est the pin on 13 and Peter Glas­son won 17. The Satur­day ladies’ com­pe­ti­tion was won by Peggy Joel with a bril­liant 44 points. Jenny Row­ell was sec­ond with 42 points and Yvonne John­stone third with 39 points. Near­est the pins were Peggy on 8, Lyn Heimann on 13 and Glenda Chris­tensen on 17. El­iz­a­beth Henry was too good on Sun­day scor­ing 43 points to win by seven shots to play­ing part­ner Jenny Cover. Wayne Bax­ter won near­est the pins on both 8 and 10.
