Junior squash excitement
IT WAS another exciting round of squash for the juniors as each of them show their improvement in their game.
Chris Dwyer had a tough game against Rae Page. Rae’s serves enabled her to get up over Chris 2-1 however Chris is improving rapidly and may turn the tables next time they meet. Another fast improver is Lauren Radcliffe, who defeated top seed Sam Laurence 2-1. There was only 4 points difference in the score though and Sam will be out for revenge next time they play.

In the seniors, the first round of Wednesday fixtures commenced last week and produced some fine matches with the novice players demonstrating their improvement. New player Hana Sorensen fought hard to get a game off the wily Janet Goodall, with Janet winning 2-1.
Another new player Treveen Page had a great game against Sue Lawrence. Sue won 2-1 but there were only 4 points between the two. Chantelle Cleary, playing her first squash game, acquitted herself well to take experienced Rex Hawkes to a long game in the first. Rex took out the match 3-0 but Chantelle showed how much she has improved in a short time.
