Political spin garbage

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

DEAR Jim, Warren and all other candidates whose coreflute faces litter the roadside, I wish to voice my objection to receiving no less than 18 glossy brochures in my mailbox in the last two weeks.

Surely there are sufficient other mediums to advocate your policies, between the roadside eyesores and total saturation on television, print and electronic media you would indeed reach all voters.

This overkill advertising is simply wasteful.

There are any number of issues in the Far North that would have been better served by the money spent on printing it.

After all, I imagine at least 80 per cent goes straight from box to bin.

My postie informed me that my “no junk mail” sign did not apply, he is legally obliged to deliver the flyers.

Environmental? I think not.
