Welcome back, Wazza

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

WELCOME back, Warren Entsch. No doubt you are chuffed at being resoundingly endorsed to again represent the vast seat of Leichhardt, with a margin that makes crystal clear just how fed up Far Northerners are with Labor Governments that don’t listen to the people they claim to serve - especially Anna Bligh(t)’s who, despite denying it in a gutless attempt to shift all the blame onto Kevin Rudd, is primarily responsible for the savaging the ALP suffered by voters in this state. While I cannot support your suggestion of a monorail for the World Heritage-listed Daintree wet tropics rainforest - an unwelcome innovation likely to spark an international outcry - I do salute your great idea to promote and develop this region’s organic produce. I hope you will regard the strong support you received from Douglas shire voters as a mandate to deliver on your promise to deamalgamate our semi-rural region from Cairns at the earliest opportunity, thereby restoring us to self-governance and delicious drinking water.
