A 28-year-old Victorian man was arrested at 12.30am on the morning of Friday, October 29 for wilful damage and urinating in Macrossan Street in Port Douglas. The man threw three chairs at the plate glass windows of a local licensed premise, which cracked the glass. The man was taken to Cairns and appeared in the Cairns Magistrate Court on Friday morning. He was fined $1000 and ordered to pay $650 restitution. yelling abusive comments to people on the street and had kicked a number of bins. He was transferred to the Mossman Police Station and will appear in the Mossman Magistrate Court on the 24th of November.
