Ghoulishly good haunting of Oak Beach

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

Dear Sir,

Halloween has come and gone but the spirit of good will lives on. Thank you all for attending.

It was great fun to watch the faces of the spooked visitors. Their screams of fright were even more satisfying. It truly was a haunted experience well worth the effort.

Accolades of thanks and good wishes are arriving hourly expressing how much fun and scary the event was.

The free event took two months to set up and a ’first time’ trial for future Halloween events.

Each haunted section was unique; a mini theatrical presentation. Each experience took time to view; thus, the delay. It was a learning experience for crowd management and traffic flow. Those who arrived at 7:30 found an unexpected line of visitors that flowed down Bruce Ave to Reynolds Road with a potential 40 minute wait to enter the front gate.

Some decided that the wait was too long for their little ones and unfortunately returned home; for this we apologise.
