Thun­der­bolts bowl like light­ning, bat like demons

THE Un­der 11 Thun­der­bolts still re­main un­de­feated af­ter win­ning their fourth game and mak­ing their high­est score of the sea­son on Satur­day.

Thun­der­bolts cap­tained by Nathan Deu­ble won the toss and opted to field.

The par­ents and spec­ta­tors watched some sen­sa­tional bowl­ing with the youngest mem­ber of the team Luke Twomey bowl­ing 3/5 to­gether with other wicket tak­ers Keel Sorensen 1/3, Ri­ley Sawyer 1/7, Daniel Davidson 1/7, Adon Trewick 1/9 and Levi Trewick 1/16.

Strong wick­et­keep­ing skills by Michael Ives and Adon Trewick to­gether with two run outs by Ri­ley Sawyer and Levi Trewick had the op­po­si­tion all out for 79 at 18 overs.

Thun­der­bolts went in to bat mak­ing 138 with only the loss of 2 wick­ets at the end of 25 overs.

Bat­ting re­sults were Levi Trewick top scor­ing on 19 not out, Daniel Davidson re­tired on 13, Nathan Deu­ble proudly break­ing in his new bat with 11 runs not out and Keel Sorensen on 9.

The Sun­rise Snack­bar Bat­ting Award went to Levi Trewick for his con­tin­ued ex­cel­lent bat­ting per­for­mance and the Yum Yums Award went to Keel Sorensen for not only con­sis­tent tight bowl­ing but con­tin­u­ally show­ing great sports­man­ship in en­cour­ag­ing his team mates on the field.
