Thunderbolts bowl like lightning, bat like demons
THE Under 11 Thunderbolts still remain undefeated after winning their fourth game and making their highest score of the season on Saturday.
Thunderbolts captained by Nathan Deuble won the toss and opted to field.
The parents and spectators watched some sensational bowling with the youngest member of the team Luke Twomey bowling 3/5 together with other wicket takers Keel Sorensen 1/3, Riley Sawyer 1/7, Daniel Davidson 1/7, Adon Trewick 1/9 and Levi Trewick 1/16.
Strong wicketkeeping skills by Michael Ives and Adon Trewick together with two run outs by Riley Sawyer and Levi Trewick had the opposition all out for 79 at 18 overs.
Thunderbolts went in to bat making 138 with only the loss of 2 wickets at the end of 25 overs.
Batting results were Levi Trewick top scoring on 19 not out, Daniel Davidson retired on 13, Nathan Deuble proudly breaking in his new bat with 11 runs not out and Keel Sorensen on 9.
The Sunrise Snackbar Batting Award went to Levi Trewick for his continued excellent batting performance and the Yum Yums Award went to Keel Sorensen for not only consistent tight bowling but continually showing great sportsmanship in encouraging his team mates on the field.
