THE Mossman Bowls Club Morris Shield representatives played brilliant bowls on Saturday with two wins and one loss.
They beat the Herberton team 24 to 14 in the morning round later defeated Cooktown 22 to 11 in the afternoon.
The same four players were not as lucky on Sunday morning when Atherton claimed the glory.
Next Sunday is another Super Challenge against South Johnston with a 9.00am start.
The team includes Dave Egan for singles, Dave Blain and Bob Day, Mac Potter and Rod Parkes for pairs.
Col Maxted, Nev Tesch and Cal Wills will play threes, Bernie Wolland, John Sellars, Kiwi Beaumont and George Wilmot will play fours.

The ladies played a great game and Marree Cree’s team took the win for the graded triples final.
Social bowls was played on Thursday and the winners were Janice Brlyack’s team who won on a count back.
The raffle was won by Sonia Edwards. The Ladies will be playing for hams this week (18th). Christensen on 13.
Kim Edwards was too strong on Saturday in the ladies stroke event winning with nett 70 ahead of Peggy Joel on 72. Lyn Heimann won nearest the pin on 6, Glenda Christensen on 8, Trish Landy on 13 and Patti Graham on 17.
Dennis Blake won the men’s division one with nett 69 ahead of John Deuble with 70.
In division two J Mitchell stole the show with a brilliant nett 62 ahead of Kerry Johnstone with nett 65. M Roberts won nearest the pin on 6, Des Landy on 8, Bernie jack on 10 and Brett Jurie on 13.
