Port property in murder link
Ms Lane, who claims to be a business associate of Mr Medich’s, told police of a phone conversation with him on March 3 last year.
In the police statement Ms Lane said she was renting the Queensland property at the heart of a dispute between McGurk and Mr Medich.
She said that during the phone call Mr Medich said to her, “... if he gives me any more trouble over this I’m going to kill him’.”
In Sydney, four of Mr Medich’s associates, including childhood friend Lucky Gattellari, have agreed to testify against him after being charged in connection with the murder.
The four have told police of an operation involving Mr Gattellari, his assistant Senad Kaminic, and the alleged shooters Haissam Safetli and Christopher Estephan. Mr Kaminic,
a assistant to Mr Gattellari, a former boxing champion, was released from jail last week after agreeing to give evidence for the Crown.
Mr McGurk was shot dead on the day charges against him in relation to an earlier house firebombing were dropped.
The case will return to Sydney’s Central Local Court on December 9.
Mr Medich is in jail on remand charged with Mr McGurk’s murder.
