TV show, no bull
WILD brumbies, ATVs and helicopters had visitors on the edge of their seats at the Australian Muster Experience on Friday to launch a new TV series being filmed on the property.
AME owner Gordon Pringle announced that there are three major productions being filmed on his properties at Rocky Point, Mount Mulligan and Daintree Station - but he remains tight-lipped if Oprah is among them.
“There was filming at Rocky Point last week for a small segment, they have filmed wild horses on the beach for the new TV series that young actor Jeff O’Connor will be involved in,” he said.
Jeff O’Connor, from the TV series Keeping up with the Joneses, made an appearance at the Gordon’s new AME show last Friday and was filmed riding a bull out into the arena as a segment for the “secret” new TV series.
“Jeff has been staying at the Mount Mulligan station with his mates and crew who are doing some local filming, riding a few horses and catching a few bulls,” Mr Pringle said.
Small segments throughout Gordon’s new show have been filmed for the new TV series including images of wild horses running across the paddocks.
According to Mr Pringle, Friday’s run-through of the new show is being taken to highlight the dramatic series of events in relation to mustering that have been recently filmed however he cannot reveal specific detail about any of the films and television series under production.
According to Mr Pringle he has been misrepresented in other media about the speculation of Oprah being filmed on his properties and cannot reveal specific detail about any of the films and television series under production.
“I really can’t comment on other productions at this stage but there is a far bit of action and high end producers coming to the region, some are already here and some in the future,” he said.
