New vet clinic to focus on natural healing remedies
PETS can put their minds at ease with a new vet clinic opening in Mossman next Wednesday.
Mossman’s new veterinary clinic Hands-on Healing is set to open its doors on December 1 and provide quality care for all animals a combination of natural healing treatments.
Manager Dr Viki Dioszegi was one of the first doctors to introduce titer testing to measure specific immunity for major diseases in the region.
“It is always better for the animal to receive drug-free methods of treatment,” she said.
“I would like each animal to be looked at as an individual and be treated with traditional veterinary care, but I also wanted to offer members of the community a clinic that also provides natural treatments, to give them more options.”
Dick Herswell and his wife Beryl are backing Dr Dioszegi financially after she treated one of their horses.
“She is very professional and we could see a lot of potential and there was a need for an alternative veterinary clinic in the region,” Mr Herswell said.
The veterinary clinic will provide complete vet care, acupuncture, herbal medicine, manual therapies, homeopathy, nutrition and naturopathy for all types of animals.
“I want us to cater for all animals that come in, we will also be providing a mobile service for larger animals such as cattle and horses as there is a huge demand for these services in the area,” Dr Dioszegi said.
Dr Dioszegi has already received attention from clients out of town as they are one of the few clinics to provide natural treatments and therapies.
