Ju­nior squash semis ac­tion

THE semi fi­nals of the ju­nior squash were played last week.

Rex Hawkes was up against his sis­ter Daisy and played ex­tremely well to take out the match 2-1.

Poppy Lawrence man­aged to take a game off Bry­dehn Ben­der, who won 2-1, and Lach­lan Cowe con­tin­ued to im­prove with a 2-1 vic­tory over Rae Page.

Dean Macarthy played his heart out to win 2-1 over Hay­ley Gwynne while Adon Trewick de­feated Sam Lawrence 3-0. Chris Dwyer was able to beat Cole Wat­son 2-1with both boys play­ing some great squash.

At the end of play Rex’s and Dean’s teams emerged as win­ners and will play off next week in the grand fi­nal.

The se­niors com­menced their hol­i­day sea­son so­cial games.

There was a good turnout of play­ers for the first week and all en­joyed sin­gles and dou­bles matches.

Play­ers in­ter­ested in keep­ing fit and hav­ing some so­cial games are in­vited to turn up of a Wed­nes­day night at 5.30pm.
